The account is yours, and personal

An account belongs to one person and is for personal, non-commercial use. Do not share your sign-in link or your password — a sign-in link is a key to your account, and anyone who opens it is you as far as the app is concerned.

You are responsible for what you put in. Do not use wishcart for anything unlawful, and do not try to reach another person’s list.

Prices and availability are not promises

This is the clause worth reading.

Prices, titles and pictures are read automatically from retailers’ pages. They are a snapshot of what a page appeared to say at the moment something was saved, and they are routinely out of date and occasionally simply wrong. We have shipped bugs that saved a $38 item at $383.50 and others that saved no price at all.

The retailer’s own page is the only source of truth for what something costs and whether you can buy it. Check there before you spend money. Do not treat a number in wishcart as an offer, and do not rely on a total it shows you.

We do not sell anything, take payment, or handle orders. Every “buy” is a link out to the retailer, and everything after that click is between you and them.

What you can expect from us

wishcart is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, it may lose data, and it may have bugs — it has had several, and the ones we know about are written down in the repository.

We are not liable for losses arising from using it, including a purchase made on the strength of a price it showed you. If that is not a trade you want to make, please do not rely on it for anything that matters.

We keep backups on a best-effort basis and make no promise about recovering anything.

Closing an account

You can stop using wishcart whenever you like. There is no button to delete an account yet; email the.k.king.64@gmail.com and we will remove it by hand. See the privacy page for what removing it actually does.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used abusively — to harass somebody, to attack the service, or for anything unlawful. If that happens to you and you think it is a mistake, email us.

The extension

The browser extension is part of the same service and these terms cover it. It asks Chrome for broad access in order to work on any shop; what it does with that access, and the very little it sends us, is set out on the privacy page.

Changes, and where this applies

These terms may change. If they change in a way that matters we will say so in the app. Continuing to use wishcart after that is how you accept the new version.

This service is Wishcart, operated by Koorosh Ghaffari, based in California, and these terms are governed by California law.
